What Are the Stamping Process Standards for Bearing Assembly Lines?

    2026-03-06

A bearing assembly line performs feeding, assembly, component cleaning, digital measurement, and commissioning of bearings under intelligent control. It enables the intelligent assembly of bearings while saving labor costs and improving production efficiency. Stamping-type bearing assembly lines process bearing steel components through pressure application. So, what exactly are the stamping process standards for bearing assembly lines? Today, the editorial team from Kaiyuan has compiled relevant knowledge for you.

Stamping Process Standards for Bearing Assembly Lines

    1. External Force Application by Presses

The blanks used for stamping are mainly cold-rolled and hot-rolled steel strips and plates. Stamping and forging both belong to plastic working (or pressure working), collectively referred to as forging and stamping. Stamping-type bearing assembly lines use presses and dies to apply external forces to sheets, pipes, strips, profiles, and other materials, causing plastic deformation or separation to obtain workpieces of the required size and shape (stamped bearing components).

    1. High Rigidity

Compared with castings, forgings produced by stamping bearing assembly lines feature the advantages of being thin, lightweight, uniform, and strong. Stamping can manufacture workpieces with undulations, reinforcing ribs, flanges, or ribs that are difficult to produce by other methods, thereby enhancing their rigidity. By using precision dies, workpiece accuracy can reach the micron level, with high repeatability and consistent specifications. It is also possible to stamp bosses, pits, and other structures.

    1. Minimal or No Subsequent Machining

Stamping bearing assembly lines generally require only a small amount of machining, or even no subsequent cutting processing at all. Hot-stamped parts have lower precision and surface quality compared to cold-stamped parts, but the machining allowance for forgings is small—still superior to castings and cutting processes.

    1. High Production Efficiency

Stamping is a highly efficient production method. By adopting compound dies, especially multi-station progressive dies, multiple stamping processes can be completed on a single press, realizing fully automated production from coil uncoiling, leveling, blanking to finishing and forming. It boasts high production efficiency, good working conditions, and low production costs, with a capacity of producing hundreds of workpieces per minute.

Typical stamping products include radiator fins, auto bodies, chassis, fuel tanks, boiler drums, motor cores, electrical appliance housings, and silicon steel sheets. A large number of stamping parts are also used in products such as instruments and meters, household appliances, office machinery, bicycles, and daily utensils.

The above is Kaiyuan Intelligence's explanation of the stamping process standards for bearing assembly lines. Equipped with an intelligent data center for assembly lines, Kaiyuan Intelligence can realize real-time monitoring and recording of the operating status of various equipment and key testing data, providing you with comprehensive bearing assembly line solutions.
