    I. Usage Methods of Bearing Testing Machines

    1. Equipment Connection: Before use, connect the cables of the bearing testing machine to the vibration sensor. Power on the equipment and perform statistical processing on the information received by the sensor and data processing equipment.
    2. Sensor Fixation: Generally, vibration sensors adopt magnetic bases, which are attached to the bearing end cover of the tested equipment. The measurement position shall be based on rigid connection with the bearing. If the tested equipment is not suitable for magnetic adsorption, adhesive bonding or bolt fixing methods can be considered.
    3. Conduct Testing: After starting the equipment, the bearing testing machine will operate automatically. According to the pre-set program, it will start measuring various parameters. The detection progress will be displayed on the screen, and the overall testing process can be controlled according to the progress prompt. After the test is completed, various bearing parameters and defect levels will be provided—the smaller the defect level, the better the operating status of the bearing.
    4. Report Reading: After the test, the bearing testing machine will generate a test report, which provides an evaluation of the bearing’s acceleration peak, kurtosis, skewness, envelope value, theoretical service life, bearing defect rating, etc. Testers can improve and upgrade the existing bearing processes according to the suggestions in the report.

    II. Operational Precautions of Bearing Testing Machines

    1. Attention to Sensor Installation and Removal: Before testing, install the sensor at the designated position of the bearing to be tested. When placing or removing the vibration sensor, remove the magnetic base together—do not pull only the cable, as this may cause sensor failure.
    2. Remove Protective Sheets During Measurement: To protect key components from wear and maintain measurement accuracy, the bearing testing machine is generally equipped with protective gaskets or sleeves on the magnetic base at the factory. Remove these redundant protective devices during measurement.
    3. Pay Attention to Sensor Service Life: Monitor the service life of the testing machine during use. The service life varies according to the sensor principle—ranging from 3 to 4 years for most, while some special sensors have a service life of only 1 year.     4. Clarify Detection Scope: Each bearing testing machine has a fixed detection range, and accurate measurement can only be performed within this range. Therefore, place the test samples (e.g., bearings of specific sizes, materials, and models) in accordance with the detection range of the machine. Failure to do so may lead to deviations in test data.
